Aye, it's one hell of a combination.
"Doc, what can I do about these terrible hangovers?"
'You can stop drinking beer'
"No, seriously Doc, what can I do?"

I long for a garage to call my own:

- Full mash homebrewing equipment including LPG burners and good ventilation.

- TV

- Drumkit

- Soundproofing for Drumkit

- Window to negate soundproofing for drumkit

- climate-controlled beer fridge

- Lots of beer-storage space

- kegging system

The best beer drinking music is the stuff you make yourself!

Blandy,

Beer bringing people together!!

Another drummer. Brilliant. One of the best things I have ever done is to learn the drums. I never took it up until 40, wish I had at 10. Spend hours in there belting away to 'Let there be rock' or some other classic.

Bought a little bottle holder thingo that goes on the tom mounts. Now there is backbeats and beers!!

I agree that the best beer drinking music is made by yourself. And it doesnt matter the style of music. Play with different people everything from Bert Bacharach to Sex Pistols and love it all.

Do you have a band?

Hi Muddy,

Whoa! that tom-mounted bottle holder sounds like the greatest invention since the Eliminator pedal! Although I'd be a little hesitent trying it out on my kit; spilt beer and Signia don't mix.

ATM I'm playing in a Uni Big Band and Orchestra.

I mainly play Jazz drums and classical percussion, but I once played in a punk rock band. Wasn't my fevorite music, but I loved playing it!

Blandy,

Signia, orchestra, jazz, classical percussion - you are at another level altogether from a poor shmuck such as I.

But even shmucks can rock in a garage with a fridge full of HB and a few like minded idiots to conspire with!!! And those idiots arrive about 430pm this arvo....

cheers

I don't think I'll have to tell you to have fun, muddy!

Where did you ger the tom-mounted stubbie holder? I don't think I'd use it on my kit, but I often play this really old beat-up Export that could probably do with a bit of spilt beer (although I'm sure it works fine).

Blandy,

Get the stubbie holder from Wollongong Music World. If you cant get one let me know, I will get it (very cheap) and send it to our Melbourne office in St Kilda Rd for you to collect.

Goatsby,

Bruce Stadium Canberra sometime mid 1979. Bun E Carlos smoking cigars and Rick Neilsen constantly flicking plectrums into the audience.
Was awesome. Havent played any of that stuff for years - until this weekend.... I think they were supported by MiSex. Theres another job for the weekend.

cheers

Muddy,

I think there's a Music World near me somewhere, I'll see if I can get it there.

Thanks for the offer, though.
