Hey Longrasser ... less of the old.

My bloke's 20 and won't drink at home .... "I only drink for effect."

I think he doesn't want his Mum to see him fall over.

Cheers, Pete

I'm another female on here. I bought the fermenter et al for hubby for Xmas a couple of years ago, but he never got around to starting it (although he LOVES a beer  ). I got peeved off waiting for him to start....I just jumped in and gave it a go. TBH, I haven't done a whole heap, but I am pleased with what I have done so far (stout, Corona type, Wheat Beer).

Oh, and I just turned 37 and have been doing this on and off since late August 2006 (approx 7 months).

As the name implies I am a nanna, primary beer brewer, have not progressed past the Kit & Kilo, non drinker, designated driver, not all that fussy about sterilising and the like, never had a real bad brew (one came close but he drank it anyway)
I am 21 years of age with 35 years of experience (for those short on math skills thats 56)
Love this community, check in most days (keeps me out of chat rooms lol)

Welcome Green Horn (Mick).

There are plenty of great recipes that are on here, and plenty of good advice.

When you get the bug, you'll end up obsessed  .........I know I am, well that's what my wife said anyway

When you see a good recipe, put it in Favourites. I only wished I did this a little earlier in the piece.

Cheers

Does wrapping your brew with blankets on a cold night in the shed because you're worried count as an obsession??

Does wanting to check the brew when you get home from work count even though you can't see anything in the shed because it doesn't have power count as an obsession??

Cheers,

Mick

Yes you're obsessed. I too had 2 jackets around my first 2 fermenters.

I get home, kiss the kids and the wife, then go downstairs and kiss the fermenters  ....kidding

Cheers
