Making Beer from Swimming Pool Water

Post by munkee »

Well where I live water is scarce, and I cant afford to keep the swimming pool topped up any more. Freakin' council is killing me I tell ya.

So rather than let all that water go to waste what ya reckon, boiler up and she'd be right ?

How about an open ferment in the pool? 4 kilos of hops, a tonne of dex and 3/4 tonne of corn syrup. You won't need to stir, just put the filter on. I think racking could be a problem - unless you have a neighbour with an empty pool. I would advise bottling into jacuzzis for the second fermentation. :D

Cheers,

Nice one Daz, maybe I'd better use the scoop to get the scum off the top - or whoever is swimming in it!

How many bags of hops would it take to make a pair of floaties?

Have you got salt/chlorine pool munkee or just chlorine?
