adding oatmeal to stout

hello all. i want to make an oatmeal stout.
been trying some pommy imported stouts and one that was really good and i thought it would work well with homebrew was the oatmeal.
i read somewhere here that you add about 250g of oatmeal to the wort.
so would you boil and mix it up like a porridge first ...

um, i don t use anything except clean hot water.
after i bottle my brew i scrub my plastic barrel clean with hot tap water,
then i refill it with hot water again and leave it for a couple of hours and rince again with hot water and leave it upsidedown to drain dry.

brewing your own is like growing your own.
my father in law grows veges , tomatoes , lettuce, beans, garlic, cabbage,
leaks and potatoes. FANTASTIC for all. we dont go without.
i make homebrew beer, coopers dark, coopers stout, and larger.

today i said goodbye to an old drinking buddy, LADY.
my old dog(bitch) a collie, shepard cross. the most beautiful family pet of 14 years had to be put to slleep today.
when we got her from the s.p.c.a. she was unwanted.
