I just leave the rings on. I havent had an issue with caps not resealing after about 5 re caps now. I also screw them on pretty tight too.

Although for some reason some people on here have had sealing issues if they leave them on. Maybe is depends on the type of PET bottle used. I use Morgans and ...

I am a featherweight at the moment. Currently have in stock:

60 x Coopers 740ml PET Bottles (30 filled with Coopers Draught, and another 6 left filled with Beermakers Bitter)

2 x 23ltr fermenters (one currently brewing a Coopers Bitter with BE2)

1 x Tooheys Real Ale (picked up for $6 at Kmart ...

I use sanitised water in my 2 piece airlock.

However I just put in a low level amount so if you do experience a suck back it will not venture on into the brew.

Yeah these airlocks are very good. They are also known as 'senior' airlocks as they are larger in stem diameter and are designed to be a tight fit through the grommet to give a much tighter seal.

The English Bitter was brewed at an average temp of 24C and the Coopers Draught is averaging 22C. Thats with a cold wet towel wrapped around the fermenter. I cant get it any cooler!!
