Coopers Mild Ale

Anyone drink it? I bought a case the other day and might make it my staple given that i have to listen to screaming babies and toddlers the lower alcohol might be better for me i think. Anyone know of a good supplier in the wollongong area or somewhere between the gong and sydney?

Care when racking

The other day i was racking my beloved amber ale and i left the tap on the secondary open causing beer to spill all over my KT 26 shoes. Before i knew what was happening my socks were soaked. Is this beer wasted or should i wring them out back into the secondary? has anyone else had this problem?

Re: Racking Twice

Been racking for several months now and the results have been fantastic with the only drawback being required to wait 6 weeks for carbonation through bottles. But I'm content to wait.

In my last lager I racked twice, and plan to do so in the next few megabrews, does anyone else follow this ...

But remember guys, when you rack the brew you lose about 2L from primary anyway, I always account for this by adding 2L of water with the dextrose into the secondary fermentor as suggested in the original post (I put the dextrose into a jug and slowly stir and add boiling water until it dissolves ...

Yes you can filter even when bottling, the use of a 1 micron absolute filter whilst it will remove alot of the yeast some will pass through, sufficient for bottle conditioning; it may take a little longer to gas up thats all.
AC

Doesn't this require co2 to do this? or can filtering be achieved ...

My experience so far with POR hops is go to lightly.

I (naively) dry hopped at racking with 25g of POR pellets to a Thomas Coopers Traditional Draught with 1.5kg LME done with W34/70 lager yeast. It created far too much POR taste IMO and was too heavy for that style of beer
A similar brew with ...

You might be able to use them. Would the lid give out before the glass? pressurewise that is.
