Capital Punishment

Oliver,

Given the opportunity, would you 'execute' anybody turned up on your doorstep with weapon in hand and threatened your life?

Assuming the answer is yes (as I assume you have the survival instinct) can, in your view, a person only be legitimately killed if they represent a real and proximate ...

Capital Punishment

The world is full of grave injustice.

Even if this case represents an injustice, I'd suggest that the fate of a self-confessed drug dealer ranks lower than other ongoing injustices that permeate our world. That, perhaps, is another topic.

I reckon the question of capital punishment is so hotly ...

Boony

I heard Steve Waugh on the radio recently confirming that D. Boon drank 53 cans from Melbourne to London on an Ashes tour. This effort broke the record of R. Marsh (which was, I think, 50 cans). Apparently other members of the touring squad also kept up with Boony for most of the journey.

Many ...

OK Dogger,

The talk is about long days in the sun drinking beer and betting (and losing) on horse racing. Do they race horses year 'round in Canada?

Referring back to the general topic, how many beers can one buy at, say, an ice hockey game? Does the game go long enough to get p*ssed?

Beerlovers,

Remiss of me not to earlier note the perfect marriage that is beer and horse racing. What a couple!

Beerlovers,

Your posts remind me of a day at the 2002 Boxing Day Test at the MCG where about 20 or 30 blokes on a bucks day arranged for 2 girls in hot pink bikini's to run back and forth to the bar all day keeping them in constant supply of beer.

Perhaps those of you concerned about missing some ...

Beer 'n' Sport

Beerlovers,

At which sport is beer most joyfully consumed?

In my experience Test Match Cricket is the obvious answer - 7 hours of play, 5 days in a row enables the punter ample lager sample time.

Not to mention cricket in Australia is played in 30C plus temps.

Of course, if one barracks for ...

Beerlovers,

Some more for the taking:

"Beereft" - lacking beer

"Beerable" - something which can be achieved with beer

"Unbeerable" - something which cannot be achieved with beer (and is hence not worthwhile)

Terry,

Spot on!

"Beer O'Clock" - anytime you want to drink beer

How about "Beerpressed" - being downcast because you cannot presently drink beer

Guest,

I too have a baby. With a certain amount of patience and concentration, your beer never need leave your hand.

Beerlovers,

Although this debate seems to have subsided can I say that surely beer is not hampered by the vagaries of gender and its characteristics. Beer is of a higher, divine nature.

Gentleman,

Jackets could work but I think a simple T-shirt would suffice, something perhaps in the nature of:

WANTED

BEER

Simple and to the point.

Go Beer

Thanks Dogger,

Tell me, in Lucan where I understand it rarely reaches 0 degrees (32 F) at this time of year, how does one keep a brew at the right temp? Is your heater on all day and night?

Oliver, what does the jackets look like?
